Multicultural Underground is a project revolving around the issues of cultural identity loss pertaining to the individual as well as the community. The interactive and reflective pieces push the boundaries of native and non-native relations and question the necessities for such divides within the Netherlands. This project, though initiated by the artist, relies heavily on the interaction and participation of the members of an environment. The physical remainder of the distributed posters and the emotional resonance of the later printed images further prolong the speculative thought on immigration and assimilation. Consequently the objective of the project remains the struggle to bring people in agreement not necessarily of a solution but of contemplative thought and consideration for each other.
